About Us

Catalyst as a company came into being in June 1989. The company was formed by three of the four current directors when they parted as a group from a larger company. From a starting point of four employees the company has steadily grown. Due to the technical nature of our business the company can only expand at the rate that qualified staff can be recruited and trained. The company policy with staff has always been quality not quantity. This policy has limited growth and also ensured a consistency of quality.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase from our on-line Catalogue could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy to put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.

Alternatively if you prefer the human touch you could call our experienced sales staff on 0116 230 1500 and they will be happy to advise you on your purchase and if required take the order. If you decide to do this, please ensure you make a note of the Stock Code (starting with WEB...) as this will enable us to check stock levels much more quickly.

Shipping And Handling

Shipping and handling is calculated by weight on all orders up to a value of £100, after which we will cover carriage for free!

Delivery Schedule

If the item you require is in stock will we ship it by the end of the next working day (We do not work weekends). We do not ship outside of the U.K. or Republic of Ireland at the present time.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

VAT on all UK orders is charged at 17.5%

Credit Card Security

We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
