Update by Supplier's Stock Code
If you deal with parts which have multiple suppliers and use your own part numbers, up to now Platinum couldn't necessarily make the connection between your system's part number and that used by the supplier, in order to apply a parts/price update.
Now with the aid of the "Supplier Stock Code" field in "Add/Edit Suppliers" and a tweak to your Platinum Stock Supplier Price file, parts/price updates will be able to update just that supplier's prices.

Add or Edit Custom Menus
The "Add or Edit Custom Menus" option has been given the the windows "look-and-feel".

As this part of Platinum has been given the Windows look-and-feel the Home (on-line help) and End (functions) keys now work the way Windows uses them (i.e. Home goes to the beginning of whatever you are accepting and End goes to the end) so you should use the alternative help keys listed below:

| Buttons have been given a shortcut key (F?) for use in Macros and anyone not wanting to use the mouse. |

Stock Shadow Parts
The Stock shaodw parts file has been converted to allow future revisions of Platinum to have manufacturers and third party barcodes and images when available.
| This will involve a file conversion, which will run once only: the first time Platinum is used after this update. It may take some time, depending on how heavily the relevant area of the system is used, but will only be necessary the first time you use the software after this update. |

Feridax Electronic Ordering
Platinum now has the facility to connect to the Feridax Trade website and submit your "Purchase Order Processing" orders automatically for you, saving tedious re-keying of information. To take advantage of this you will need Platinum's Feridax "Electronic Data Interchange" module, so contact the Catalyst sales team (0116) 230 1500 or your Platinum dealer today!

Vehicle Deposits
The process of automatically including deposits in a vehicle order's prepaid deposit total has been tuned to prevent inclusion of deposits intended for separate orders to the same customer. These may still be allocated manually if required but will otherwise be excluded.

System Administrator
Some options in "Reports & Parameters" -> "Maintenance Options" -> "System Administrator" would present you with the message "Please set the Government Gateway User ID and Password system parameters before using this option." which is only relevant to users of the "Payroll" or users who have elected to submit their "VAT 100" details using the recently added Platinum option. This check has been relocated to a more appropriate spot in the software.

Internal Attribute Category
It is now possible to label a stock attribute category or vehicle feature category as for internal use only. Attributes assigned to categories marked in this way will excluded from stock and vehicle uploads.

Order Processing Data Import
Importing Purchase Order Items could bring up the Stock Supersessions popup where a supersession was detected, which might lead to an unwanted pause in an unattended import.

Contact Mobile Telephone Number and Email Address
It is now possible to record a mobile telephone number and an email address for each contact of a customer or supplier. You may now select which contact you want to be the recipient when sending an SMS message or an email.

Vehicle Extras and Accessories
The system will now better accomodate a number of sale amounts where employing the "VAT Inclusive" key would not result in the total required due to rounding.
