We realised the need for our dealers to be able to place orders on-line via our website and considered a number of potential solutions before deciding to go with the Catalyst proposal. Dealers can place orders, check prices (both retail and cost) and check stock in real time. The site works well with the iPad and other tablet computers, which allows our sales reps to place orders from the road and to check stock and prices for individual dealers.
The site links seamlessly with our back office system and in collaboration with Catalyst we have been able to develop the site to cope with the demands of both our business and our dealers. It is straightforward to set up and maintain, and offers the ability to tailor the aesthetics of the site to match your corporate image provided you have some knowledge of style sheets! The set-up and ongoing costs are reasonable in the context of both the savings that we are able to make, the convenience of 24/7 ordering for our dealers, and the extra information available to the sales reps.
In summary, the site has provided us with the tools for us to continue to develop our business and to improve our customer service at a sensible cost.
