As a user of our software you are probably entitled to update it to the latest version at any time, the only proviso being that the software is covered by current software maintenance. To have current maintenance, the software should be within it’s original cover period from sale (usually a year), under maintenance contract or under a rental agreement.

The graph of sales value and profit has been extended to include three years history.
New features have been added to Platinum custom menus.
Firstly you can now set a menu to automatically go into each option in turn. This means that when you go into the menu it will take you straight into option 1, then as you exit option 1 you will be taken straight into option 2, and so on until you reach the last option when you will be taken back to the calling menu, or to the desktop if this menu was called "standalone".
Secondly each user permitted to use each menu has a "Run code" associated with them for that menu. Starting Platinum up with this "Run code" on the command line in place of the module or menu name will automatically log in as that user and go straight to the menu concerned. The "Workshop Job Search" facility has been extended with the option to search by Job Due date range. Restricting by due date is particularly fast and can be used to considerably reduce the time taken when searching jobs using a "Filter".
The "Workshop Job Search" by "Completed" status option has been extended to allow searching for all jobs except those that have been invoiced and fully paid.

A suite of secure Internet browser applications which compliment mainstream Platinum Software. Designed as a browser application this software runs anywhere that internet access is wirelessly available. Internet on mobile phones and wireless networks are both commonplace. Access information from Platinum anywhere where the internet is available which means populated areas of the planet.
The extra functionality added by Platinum Online takes advantage of the special features specific to mobile devices. Modern mobile devices have excellent cameras and displays and provide a platform for mobile computing. We use this functionality to gather images and information where it's either impossible or inconvenient to use conventional computers.
Platinum Online communicates in real time with mainstream Platinum Software providing information and updating Platinum Software in seconds.
In common with other browser applications access is via industry standard encryption and is limited by password and users have to identify themselves and their organisation.
All of the software necessary for Platinum Online is available free of charge for currently maintained or rented systems on the first device. Use on multiple concurrent devices is simple but extra licences will be required. It is essential that mainstream Platinum Software is updated to the latest version in order to access the latest features of Platinum Online.
A new option designed to show information in simple graphical form. Focus is on display of the ongoing vehicle sales progress for the current month and year. In order to provide perspective for the current information comparison graphs for average and best periods are also displayed.
A range screen is provided for users requiring historic or more specific information by site; new, used or all vehicles; and manufacturer. You can also choose how to view the results: by turnover, profit or units sold.
Stock deposit entry and maintenance has been given given the windows look and feel.
The "Vehicle Search" facility has been extended with options to search by vehicle location and to limit results to "current" vehicles only - referring to vehicles with any status having "In-stock": 'Yes'. Previously it was only possible to search for vehicles with a specific status, but there can be many different statuses that indicate a vehicle which is in stock.
If you commonly search for vehicles using the last few characters of the Chassis or VIN number, you can now speed up your search times by including that information in what we term the "Vehicle Cross Reference File".
Before rebuilding your vehicle cross reference to include this information, you should check the setting in "Vehicle Sales" -> "Maintenance Options" -> "Parameters" -> "General Parameters" -> "Chassis/VIN Search Digits" which defaults to '6'.
